Frozen Romance
One day me and my friend Emma was
talking on the phone about this
new cartoon that had just came out called
Frozen. She had been screaming her little
head off about the lady from Wicked and how she
sung this one song for a character in the
movie. She would not stop playing me songs
from the movie and all I could do was nod,
smile and laugh at her. I finally had to break the
news to her that I haven’t seen it yet. Her
disappointed sigh was easily brought back to excitement
when I mentioned that I would try.
The next
day my aunt came over and brought
my cousins with her. I thought that was really cool
and exciting because I finally had something to do. Over
the weekend I was extremely lazy and had
been doing nothing but sleep, dance, listen
to music, and watch television but my aunt had more
plans for me. She traded movies, junk food,
and new make-up in place for me watching her
kids A.K.A my little cousins. I was all
so happy to do it as she passed me a new black eyeliner pencil and a snickers bar. My little cousin Cameron was even happier to see me, she was my movie
watching buddy.
Cameron
and I sat down on my bed eating pieces of snickers and drinking ice cold lemonade that I had just made. She stared up at me and kept asking me questions like, “Why are you
so tall girl? Did you make your bed up all
by yourself?” and saying little statements
like “That is why you’re my cousin.” “I
don’t want to take a nap”. My responses to
her were “I don’t know I just grew tall,
everybody grows.” “Yes, I made my bed.”
“That’s why you’re my cousin.” “You are going
to take a nap if you don’t stop jumping on my bed like you’re crazy”.
Her mother walked into my room laughing and said “what are you two doing?” I giggled. “Nothing.” My aunt handed me a movie titled
Frozen. Cameron started jumping up and down again in my bed. “Frozen!” I smiled. “Hey is this that
movie with all
that singing.” My aunt shrugged. Cameron nodded furiously. “Frozen! Carmen are you going to put it on?” I laughed. “Yes I am, are you going to sit down?” She sat down as her mother left the room.
As Cameron and watched Frozen, the girl who was very happy about sister’s coronation began
singing. In this particular part, she was skipping and running
through palace rooms and she is singing
about how at the ball she might meet a guy
and they might get married. There are paintings
on the wall and as she pretends to be the
girls in the paintings who have gentlemen holding
their hands. She walks past Fragonard’s “The
Swing” and pretends to be the girl in the swing
while singing the song about finding her
true love.
